this car was brilliant design and engineering feat of BMW. Never sold for Canada and few in the USA - and the 2.8 l engine is the best BMW has ever produced

I've driven a boxster, slk, TT, the Z3 trumps all of them. The styling of this car is timeless. I get complements every time I get out of it.

I would recommend the manual trans, but I know every has their own opinion and preference . The car handles around corners great, and has lots of power. A perfect summer car for sure.

This is a very comfortable car for a road trip! The car has never let me down mechanically. It is fun to drive. It is quiet and the wind screen offers great protection. The car handles, as you would expect any BMW...like a dream.

This is a spectacular car. It is fun to drive and generates many looks and comments when out and about. This roadster gives a smooth, road hugging ride.

The BMW Z3 is a sporty, high performance "gorgeous "summer fun car. The beige leather interior and the beautiful blue exterior make a definite statement. The black convertible top is in excellent shape.

We have owned this wonderful sports car for over 9 years, It is a low maintenance, high performance fun summer car. You will be thrilled with the fuel economy, extremely easy to part, only takes seconds to put the top up or down. The top stows away in it's own little space, it doesn't take up truck room. reliable and purrs like a kitten.
We traveled to T.O. 2 years ago with a set of golf clubs and 2 suitcases with enough clothes for 10 days in the trunk.
Hate to part with it. You will love it.

The Z3 Coupe was only made from 99 to 03. BMW told me that about 5000 were made in total. No base coupes were sold in Canada - only M Coupes. If it's possible to love a car, and you love to drive, you will love this car. Seek one out in the US and bring it home. Beware the risk though - your spouse might end up jealous of the amount of attention and devotion the Coupe will bring out in you. It's hand-in-glove handling, instant get-up-and-go and stealthy size will have you in license-risking territory faster than that other person in your life can say "Divorce! NOW!!"

I got to drive several times a few years ago and I really enjoyed the sharp turning and rapid acceleration. It is also good on gas. I have been looking for one used lately.

The Z3 is just about holding onto it's style, although so many improvements were made in the development of the Z4, it's well worth trying to find the budget to make the jump to the 4, a much more stylish body and comfortable interior with improved handling...but for those whose budgets won't stretch, the Z3 is still a great entry point to sports roadster motoring and if you find one which was cared for, is still very enjoyable to drive.
