2003 Ford Thunderbird

Trim: Removable Top Premium
by Gio1955 on 09-27-2015
Amazing Ride for those Sunday drives.
I purchased my 2003 Thunderbird in 2013 with 24,000 km's and 2 years later I have 29,000Km's. I wanted this car just for sunny day driving in the good weather as I have always wanted a convertible. This car has not disappointed me a in any way for this type of experience. It is a fun, smooth and very comfortable ride, not to mention the head turns and comments from all who see it. Honestly, I have not had any issues with this ride and as a matter of fact, I would stack this car up against anything else you could buy for the price I paid.

2002 Ford Thunderbird

Soon be a collector
Classic lines and styling in a modern car. Introduced as a retro bird in 2002, it was an instant success. Only 25,000 examples were made in 2002 for North America and only a few thousand made their way into Canada. These Canadian cars have traction control and the driving lights mounted in the bumpers which make them unique. V8 power, full of features, drives like comfortable sports car. Power soft top and the removable hard top make this a unique vehicle. Some of the initial production 2002 had some issues with injectors seals but most in the first few thousand miles, once they have passed that then they have been very reliable. Decent fuel economy for a big V8, 5 speed automatic transmission.

2002 Ford Thunderbird

The Bird
We have loved traveling the countryside in "The Bird." It handles extremely well on curves and "goes" when asked. The dual climate controls are great as I like to be warm and the other half does not! It is so easy to put the top up and down, just push the button. Imagine the looks we have gotten while riding along with the top down in a rain storm! Don't stop or you'll get wet! This car is a joy, and I'm sure you will be the envy of your friends when they see you tooling down the road in it.

1979 Ford Thunderbird

A car worth the buy
If you can hunt one of these cars down in a decent condition, I highly recommend it. It may be a bit of a boat and a gas hog, but with the right amount of care it will be a really nice ride anywhere, and with some class too. I got mine a few years ago and although it sits until I decide to sell it or give it an honorable send-off. I love my cars, no matter what may come to pass. I am not entirely new to the car scene but I am always going to enjoy the classics our time may never grow to appreciate. So my rating may be a bit biased, but it is based solely on my experience with it from riding in it and having driven it a few times. Parts are getting increasingly hard to come by for vintage/classic models. So if you can spare it strenuous and extreme conditions, you should have a really solid city car in the spring, summer, and fall month up until the snow comes. Then it is advised to switch to something that is repairable with relative ease. All in all, a wonderful car and a great ride.

1997 Ford Thunderbird

Ford Car
It's interior is made from cloth so its comfortable, it has a built in alpine single disc player, it has a power driver seat, and comes with car remote. With driving the car it has always got me from A to B with little gas wasted, it has working heating and cooling, the hood of the car is bent and needs a new gasket. Overall this is a reliable and comfortable car. This is a Ford Thunderbird LX 1997

2005 Ford Thunderbird

The Last Thunderbird
I liked this car when it debuted back in 2002. The retro style with modern mechanics. Just what I wanted however it was priced just under a Vette. Too much for me. I bought a Mustang GT Convertible instead. Lately though, the price has come down and I'm on the hunt for a low mileage model. I've road tested a few of them and still marvel at the way they look and feel to drive. Very smooth and solid driving vehicles none of the harshness of the original but the good looks are there. Plus the price has come down to under $25,000.00 for a low mileage car. I know I will find one, hopefully this year. In the meantime you will see me still cruising around in my red GT.

1993 Ford Thunderbird

Nice car, bad engine.
This car was my first car, ever since I saw one I knew I had to own one. I had bought one for a reasonable price, and after about 3 months of driving with no problems. The head gasket blew, I knew that this was a problem with thunderbirds but I hoped it wouldn't happen to me. I took it to a mechanic who said it would be a bit more the 1000 dollars to fix to I scrapped it seeing as I paid as much as that for the car. It was a fun car to drive, inside was nice, no complaints. Oh except for the head gasket. Its a shame it was such a nice car.

ko to drive
It is O.K, to drive until l needed to replace the front end ( ball joints and all the bushings ) witch was $ 3000.00 just in parts.
In my opinion way to much $ to repair. But it was loaded and safe until I needed to do the front end.

i like the cruise its seems better than comfort
i think this car would be the best one to review because its was made the same year i was born and its old school style was one of the first coolest looking cars i think personally and its would be a nice change for an up grade on that vehicle with new up to date parts and making it into a hybrid with all the same power and attributes this car has

1994 Ford Thunderbird a class in its own
A very reliable car, drove it back and forth to work on freeway for years and had not one mechanical problem. Interior design is fit for comfort with easy reach of all controls. It feels like your in a cockpit. The ride is smooth and the handling for a bigger car is very impressive. Overall this car is built to last with comfort, the driver in mind and a great looking car.

draws a lot of looks
This car draws people i can go to the store and come out with 2 people examining the car ( has happened numerous times). The car is great on the highway with a smooth ride and power when you need it. The trunk though small was designed to fit 2 sets of golf clubs and it does surprisingly. There is nothing better than cruising on a twisty highway in the summer with the top down and the excellent stereo playing.

Stylin' & comfort
This is a touring car, just begging to roll down the highways and scenic roads excitedly wanting to run with the boys. She has given us so much beyond motoring as her good looks cause interest, her agressiveness causes excitment. her style makes us look worthy of driving her. She keeps us in touch with the out-doors, the wind blowing in our hair and the feeling of being alive. This is not just a car. Its a purpose to live.....
